Melissa & Doug - Poke-a-Dot

It’s incredibly overpriced (as most Melissa and Doug products are) but it really is a great resource to promote speech and fine motor skills. I do find that these bigger books fall apart very easily. You’re better off with the small square books or the cards if you’re looking for long lasting.

This is a very sturdy book with great pictures. The popper activity is fun and my grandson loves it. Educational with counting and naming animals.

This cute book will be a gift for my grandson that I know he will love. The first one I ordered had a number of buttons that wouldn't pop, which I knew would be a disappointment and frustration to a little one. I returned it and received a replacement the next day that works perfectly!! Thanks Amazon!! Followup: I gave the book to my grandson at Christmas and his parents were pleased, saying that although they already have one at home, a number of the buttons no longer pop so their son was losing interest. Just be aware that after a while (or sometimes from day one as was my first experience!) the buttons will cease to pop and this fun interactive book just becomes another ordinary board book.😔

These books are awesome!! I have the ocean one and the farm one and my kids love to pop all the buttons. I put this book in front of them and they sit and just pop for at least five minutes. The illustrations are cute and the books are fun to read! I will be getting more of them!

My daughter loves this book She was 1.5 years old when we got it There are a few bubbles that don’t pop but that’s okay, overall it works good It has helped her counting. The only down side is it is pretty heavy

Our family loves this new book! It has a bunch of thick, durable board book pages with lots of Poke-A-Dot spots for my little one to explore over and over again. This was a lifesaver on a recent long road trip and provided a good 30 min of fun. The book is a little awkward and hard to hold for the tiny kids, but he'll grow into it rather quick!

Yes, the book is quite heavy and bulky for being on the go, but it's entertaining and useful for learning names, sounds, and counting of animals. Arrived in time during "barn yard animals" week at nursery school. Will buy others.

Many of my toddler/elementary school-aged clients enjoy looking through this book while poking all the dots! Only con is that this book is quite heavy, so be careful when a child attempts to grab it!

I like that it works for what we trying to show my son. It encourages him to push, point and work his little mind and hands and fingers. He seems to enjoy this.. Not all the poke-a-dots work as they should. But he knows y to turn the page. Therapist recommended this. The durability is good but because it’s a heavy thicker book.. I worry it would not sustain by child’s play. So I did what I have done with most of his books I taped all the edges completely as much as possible around the outer and inner book binding. With packing tape. It’s withheld his rough play!!

Great for my 1 1/2 year old. He loves to pop the bubbles and try to sing the words with me. Two of the bubbles aren’t as “poppy” anymore but we still love it. I’ve had it for a year.

I only took away one star because this book is HEAVY for little ones. We originally bought it for a road trip, but our toddler could not navigate it in the car seat. It's a good book though, nicely done. Just definitely not for small babies.

My toddler is obsessed with this book so we bought another one for a friend.

My nieces and friends kids love these books. Always my go to for a gift for small children

What a fun book

Its amazing to see my 5 year old autistic daughter sit through an entire book. This was a game changer for me hopefully it will be for you to. Great thick pages not a chance in tearing them would definitely recommend and would definitely buy again

My toddler loves this book it keeps her interested until the end popping the bubbles.

We love this line of books! We have several for our own children and have also purchased several as gifts! They seem to be the perfect gift for 1 yr olds.
